Perennials by Timothy Corrigan Returns for Fall 2024
The maximalist designer complements original collection with lively additions
Dallas, Texas – August 5, 2024— Perennials Fabrics and Rugs, the leader in the international design industry and the preeminent provider of 100% solution-dyed acrylic luxury performance textiles, rugs, and accessories, is pleased to announce a new Perennials by Timothy Corrigan collection. Following the success of his Fall 2019 collection, Corrigan is back with three fresh fabric designs – Leaping Leopards, Les Fleurs, and Stripe Du Jour – as well as new colorways in existing client favorites like Feel the Heat and Go For Baroque. The collection also includes three new rug designs inspired by his French chateau: Cloudscape, Arabesque, and Chateau.
A surefire hit, Leaping Leopards is a dynamic abstract animal pattern available in an array of colors like Outta the Blue and Rosemary. “Animal prints are popular worldwide, and the new Leaping Leopards pattern provides a reversible print that can be used with either a light or dark field,” says Corrigan. “The woven pattern design will wear so much better than a printed animal pattern.” Crafted with Perennials’ beloved velvet Plushy, Stripe Du Jour features an unexpected wide stripe. “Stripes are always in fashion, but there is something particularly chic about a wide stripe velvet,” explains Corrigan. Stripe Du Jour is debuting in four colors like Shell and Soapstone.
“My first collection for Perennials had several large-scale patterns that are terrific for statement pieces,” says Corrigan. “My new collection has more of an emphasis on upholstery for use inside the house. We use Perennials on so many of our indoor projects that I wanted this collection to address those situations where quieter patterns and textures are required.” Les Fleurs is a chenille fabric with a subtle botanical motif. “A soft hand is particularly important for indoor upholstery, which is why we created the Les Fleurs in a chenille,” adds Corrigan. Les Fleurs is available in three sophisticated colorways: Ice Blue, Sea Salt, and Ash.
Corrigan’s newest collection also expands his original with new colorways in fabrics Feel the Heat and Go for Baroque. The fun flame-stitch Feel the Heat is introducing four new colors: Sunshine, Spring Fever, Cool Flame, and Stardust. An ornate damask-like fabric, Go For Baroque is expanding to include Rosemary and Sunshine colorways.
Corrigan also designed three new 100% solution-dyed acrylic Tibetan knot rugs that seamlessly blend classic sophistication with the relaxed luxury of California living, all infused with a French twist. Cloudscape offers a sense of tranquility with an organic design achieved with beautiful loop and pile technique. Ideal for layering with other patterns from the collection, Arabesque features interlacing movement throughout with a central leaf repeat. Inspired by the opulence of eras past, Chateau is a traditional design crafted with modernity in mind. Corrigan explains,
“Chateau has a wonderful airy feeling that prevents any room from feeling too formal or stuffy, and clients would only live with a field with the light color if it is made of solution-dyed acrylic. That way, no one has to worry about the stains!”
